Our rather wet Summer has flown by, and we are already in October! Whilst the beautiful, sunny weather of the past few weeks might make it hard to believe but it is in fact only….79 days to Christmas!
Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year here on the farm, the hectic days of harvest, fruit picking and sales are behind us and we we switch our focus to wine, farmers markets and Christmas trees.
For the past three years we have hosted our “Fabulously Fruity” Christmas Fayre at the farm, and this year is no different. This year the Fayre will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2015. In addition to our Fabulously Fruity wine tasting and sales, there will be a huge array of different crafts and homemade produce courtesy of many local producers. We will also have our pop-up tea room in place selling homemade cakes and a welcome cup of tea or coffee. Last year was our biggest fayre to date and we are hoping that 2015 will be even bigger!
In addition we are now in the thick of our on the road activities. Most weekends see us at at least one local farmers or food market bringing fruit wine to the people of Lincolnshire. Last weekend we even managed two, appearing at the Humber Bridge market and the Beverley Food market on the same day. Check out our diary post to see where we will be, and come along to say “hello” (and sample some wine).
For those of you who don’t know Peaks Top Farm also sell our home grown Christmas trees from November onwards. This year will be no exception. We generally have trees from 4ft to 7 ft available in a variety of shapes so come along in November or December and have some fun choosing one you like. Keep your eyes on our blog post for more information about selling dates nearer the time.
