We are in the final week and counting down the days to the 2018 Peaks Top Farm Christmas fair. The list of jobs in the build up to this weekend has been double checked and now we are ticking them off as preparations begin in earnest!
We have cleared the shed in which we will build our 2 marquees. This provides all our lovely stallholders and customers with extra protection from the great british weather. Over the next couple of days we will build the marquees, decorate them inside in full Christmas mode to inspire and get everyone in that Christmas spirit! The layout of stalls will then be set out, to provide a nice flow and retail mix through the marquees.
Outside the marquees we will have a number of other stalls set up with their own gazebos for the weekend to provide a welcoming entrance to the fair. We will also have a selection of Christmas trees on show, cut from our own fields here at Peaks Top Farm. Our fields will be open this weekend, so if you wish to ‘pick your own’ christmas tree to make sure you get the perfect one – take your pick!
Across the farmyard our ‘pop up’ café is being set up which is always one of the highlights for many of our customers attending the events we hold at Peaks Top Farm. The café will be amply stocked with a wide variety of homemade cakes and hot drinks to keep you going or provide you with a break from the shopping!
We are looking forward to welcoming back stallholders from last year along with new ones. We like to encourage and support local Lincolnshire businesses and this year is no exception. Some of the businesses attending are:
Lynn Bartlett and her beautiful crafts
Bundle and Rust gifts
Shearsmiths silver jewellery
Waltham Art Society
Terry Alford woodturner
Holme Farm butchers
Plus many more
This year we are pleased to be supporting the Womens Aid charity in Grimsby and the Rotary Club of Cleethorpes. Who will both be with us over the weekend. Of course our full range of Fabulously Fruity wine will be available to taste and purchase. Our 2018 Christmas gift packs will be launched along with some offers on cases of 6 bottles. The range of jams we make from the fruit gown on the farm will also be on sale all weekend.
The fair will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. It is free to enter and we have lots of free carparking on site. Looking ahead on the weather forecast it looks good for the weekend. All of us here at Peaks Top Farm look forward to seeing you this weekend!!
